Former Director of External Relations in the Office of Governor Bob Ferguson Brings Extensive Tribal Leadership and Public Policy Expertise to the Firm’s Government Relations Team
WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 9) – Kilpatrick is pleased to announce that Jaime Martin has joined the Firm as Senior Government Relations Advisor in the Seattle, Washington, office. Ms. Martin works with Kilpatrick’s Government Relations team to provide Washington State government relations and regulatory services to clients across various sectors and assists clients with lobbying, policy development, and advocacy in Washington State.
Ms. Martin’s addition continues the recent growth from coast to coast of Kilpatrick’s Government Relations Team. Dylan Frick joined as a Government Relations Advisor in the Firm’s Raleigh, North Carolina, office in January of this year. Mr. Frick lobbies on behalf of clients before the North Carolina General Assembly, the Governor’s Office, and state agencies, helping them advance priorities that require strategic advocacy, coalition-building, and understanding of how policy, operations, and politics intersect. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Frick served as Deputy Secretary for External Affairs at the North Carolina Department of Information Technology, following his role as Director of Legislative Affairs. Ransom Fox joined as a Policy Analyst in late 2025 in the Firm’s Washington, D.C., office. Mr. Fox monitors and provides detailed analysis on a myriad of legislative and regulatory issues for clients. Previously, Mr. Fox worked in the U.S. House Committee on Natural Resources as a Legislative Assistant working on public lands issues, Native American affairs, Insular affairs, health care issues, and foreign relations in the Indo-Pacific region.

Ms. Martin is an enrolled member of the Snoqualmie Tribe and brings considerable public policy expertise and a strong commitment to community engagement to Kilpatrick. Prior to joining the Firm, she served as the Director of External Relations for Governor Bob Ferguson, where she built and maintained strategic relationships between the Governor’s Office and local communities, tribal governments, and other stakeholders across the state, and represented the state of Washington on regional and statewide issues. She was the highest-ranking Native American official in Washington State government’s executive branch, as the first Native American to serve in the Governor’s Executive Team. In October 2025, she managed on behalf of the Governor the development of Governor Ferguson’s Executive Order 25-10 to improve State-Tribal relations.
For over a decade, Ms. Martin served as the Snoqualmie Tribe’s Governmental Affairs and Special Projects Executive Director in Snoqualmie, Washington, where she established the Tribe’s first Governmental Affairs team, including federal and state lobbyists, and successfully led initiatives on Tribal sovereignty, taxation, consultation, cultural resource protection, and ancestral land reclamation. She managed the Tribe’s acquisition of the Salish Lodge and Spa and Eighth Generation in 2019, and 2021 she oversaw the Tribe’s purchasing of 12,000 acres of forest land in east King County that are part of the Tribe’s traditional homelands.She also developed the Snoqualmie Tribe Ancestral Lands Movement as a public education campaign to educate the public about how to recreate with respect on the Tribe’s ancestral lands.

Ms. Martin earned an Executive Masters in Policy Administration from the University of Washington Evans School of Public Policy and Governance in 2019 and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from the University of Washington in 2010, where she received the Library Research Award for Undergraduates.
